Prospect Park is the work of landscape architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, whose achievements include Central Park and the National Zoo. The park surrounds its visitors in nature with 60 acres of lake and 90 acres of meadows. Prospect Park is the host many annual events, including concerts, festivals, tours and sporting events. A children's zoo dedicated to teaching about wildlife is also at the park.
